This is a large cross section of petrified wood from the well known Blue Forest of Wyoming collected many years ago. This is cut and polished on the top side exposing the rings that are very well preserved with the sides being natural and parts have beautiful coating of chalcedony that formed in the outer sap and bark of this unique fossil. Is has a natural flat bottom so it sits on its own and has no need for a stand. It weighs 3.75 lbs and is approximately 4” across on top, 4-1/4” tall and 5” wide at the bottom.
