Float Copper Specimen

This is a piece of float copper from the Michigan area. Float was removed from the host rock by the glaciers during the ice age and then was in the ground in its new location until found with a metal detector and dug up. I have window polished it to show the copper under the layers of oxidation minerals preserving beautiful green and purple patina and then coated the copper to keep it from tarnishing.
