This is a Canyon Rim Thunder Egg from the Polka Dot mine in Central Oregon that was broken when I came out of the ground. I have included a photo of it before it was shaped into what it is now as a reference. This piece has been shaped and fully polished and has a botryoidal chalcedony core and the picture rhyolite shell these thunder eggs are known for, it is also UV reactive showing green on long wave UV (photo included). It weighs 8.2 lbs and is approximately 5” tall and 7” wide
