This is a half of a thunder egg I dug at the Polka Dot mine in Central Oregon. It is fully polished with a core of translucent coffee colored agate, and a hollow center. The shell is the picture rhyolite these thunder eggs are known for and the back the thunder egg is complete and is approximately 4-3/4” long and 3-1/2” wide.
