This is one of 2 nearly identical gem quality slabs of firebrick from the old smelters in Michigan measuring 3” long x 3-1/4” wide and 1/16” thick and each weighs 2oz. The brick absorbed the metal during the smelting process and some were saved prior to being permanently buried after the decommissioning of the smelters. This is a rare piece of history and it is very suitable to be displayed as a part of history or cabbed into beautiful jewelry. These slabs are polished on one side and clear coated to keep it shiny.
shipping and packaging is included in the price.
