I dug this large canyon rim thunder egg at the Polka Dot mine in Central Oregon. It is fully polished and has an core of translucent agate with chalcedony stalactites bending in different directions, some large and some small. These are covered in additional minerals including barite that will react bright white under UV light. There are also some small hematite inclusions, picture rhyolite and a very small jasper spear showing how diverse these eggs can be. This item weighs 8.5 lbs and is approximately 8” x 8” across the face and 3” deep.
