This is a slab of firebrick from the old smelters in Michigan measuring 3” long x 2” wide x 3/16” thick. The brick absorbed the metal during the smelting process and some were saved prior to being permanently buried after the decommissioning of the smelters. This is a rare piece of history and it is very suitable to be cabbed into beautiful jewelry. These slabs are cut but not polished I have 3 slabs available and a photo of each is shown in this listing but as you can see they are nearly identical. If you wish for a polished slice polishing of your selection is available for an additional $10. To keep the copper from getting patina it is recommended that it be clear coated to keep it shiny and I am happy to do that for you.
shipping and packaging is included in the price.
