This is a slab of firebrick from the old smelters in Michigan measuring 6” long x 3” wide x 1/8” thick. The brick absorbed the metal during the smelting process and some were saved prior to being permanently buried after the decommissioning of the smelters. This is a rare piece of history and it is very suitable to be displayed as a part of history or cabbed into beautiful jewelry. These slabs are polished on one side and clear coated to keep it shiny. #FB1
